Thursday night’s college hoops schedule is posted at Cappers Info, and we are taking a close look at some of the best games on the slate and making our NCAA basketball picks for the duels ahead.

College Basketball Matchup: Wake Forest Demon Deacons @ Duke Blue Devils
Date: Thursday, January 19th, 7:00 ET
Location: Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC
College Basketball Odds: Duke -22.5
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN

Look, we know that the Dookies have played a pretty tough ACC schedule to date, but after some of the recent struggles that this team has had, is there any real reason to think that this team has a 23 point win it in tonight, especially with Florida State, a team that just whacked North Carolina on deck? We just don’t see it happening. Back the Deacs and take the huge point spread.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Wake Forest +22.5

College Basketball Matchup: North Carolina Tar Heels @ Virginia Tech Hokies
Date: Thursday, January 19th, 9:00 ET
Location: Cassell Coliseum, Blacksburg, VA
College Basketball Odds: North Carolina -6
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN

The second half of the ESPN double dip should be a good one, as the Hokies are desperate for a win against a Top 10 foe. That being said, Carolina will not play nearly as poorly as it did in Tallahassee over the weekend, and we see no reason why the big trees in blue aren’t going to be able to dominate. Expect a mean and nasty effort out of the Tar Heels on Thursday night to dispose of the Hokies on their home court by at least a dozen.

NCAA Basketball Pick: North Carolina -6

College Basketball Matchup: Vanderbilt Commodores @ Alabama Crimson Tide
Date: Thursday, January 19th, 7:00 ET
Location: Coleman Coliseum, Tuscaloosa, AL
College Basketball Odds: Alabama -6
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN2

The Commodores and the Crimson Tide are both going to be tourney teams out of the SEC this year in all likelihood, but if either one slips just a bit, this is the type of game that could make the difference between getting into the dance and being sent to the NIT. We think that playing in Tuscaloosa will make a big difference here for the Tide in this battle of two very, very evenly matched teams.

NCAA Basketball Pick: Alabama -6
