Big XII Tournament Finals Picks: Kansas State Wildcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks
Date: Saturday, March 16th, 6:00 ET
Location: Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO
Kansas State vs. Kansas Live TV: ESPN

Kansas State and Kansas are arch rivals that hate each other. Both are going to be high seeds in the NCAA Tournament, and both have to think that they have a great shot of claiming the Big XII title on Saturday. The only problem for the men in purple is that they are severely outclassed in this series, and it is just a bad matchup all around. The Cats are going to be a dangerous team in the NCAA Tournament because they can stroke the three ball and have a lot of guards that can handle the basketball. That’s all fine a dandy, but the problem is that there is no one to rebound. That will work against some teams, but against C Jeff Withey and the Jayhawks, it just isn’t going to work. G Angel Rodriguez is going to have to have an incredibly efficient game, and for a man that is barely shooting 37% from the field for the year, that’s a difficult task. All of the guards for the Jayhawks are good enough to stick around with Rodriguez and G Rodney McGruder anyway, but the addition of Withey and the rest of the lanky men on the inside is just too much for KSU to overcome. The Wildcats just don’t have the goods here to hang with Kansas, and for the third time this year, the Jayhawks will rule the day.

Kansas State vs. Kansas Pick: Kansas Jayhawks
Big XII Finals Prediction: Kansas 70 – Kansas State 61
