The Jayhawks enter the Frank Erwin Center as the top team in the Big XII and one of the best teams in the entire country. This might be the only team in the conference that legitimately has a chance to win it all this year. The Longhorns meanwhile, are really underachieving and are frankly just overmatched by a number of teams in this conference. Sure, the Horns will figure out how to pick off a few teams here and there, but when push comes to shove, this isn’t even an NIT team in all likelihood. The scoring has been insanely inconsistent in the Big XII this year, as the team has been held to 62 points or fewer in two straight games. We think that this is going to be a spread that is just far too small for this game. The Jayhawks have the superior club, and F Jonathan Holmes isn’t going to be able to come up with the game that can frustrate C Jeff Withey. If Kansas is knocking down even just a few shots from the outside, this game could be a one-sided romp from the get go.

Kansas vs. Texas Pick: Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas vs. Texas Prediction: Kansas 74 – Texas 59
