If you like running and gunning, this is a game that you’re going to want to watch. The Blackbirds are an experienced team with a pair of NCAA Tournament bids in a row, and they love to run up and down the court. There will be at least 120 shots in this game from the field in all likelihood, and maybe even more if LIU Brooklyn has its way. The most recent meeting between these two teams was a win for the Mountaineers, but we aren’t so sure that was an indicative game of what we are going to see on Tuesday. F Jamal Olasewere is a big man that can dominate the game, and he is a man that can really dominate for the Blackbirds. There really is no equal on the other side of the court. Olasewere spent a good chunk of time on the bench in foul trouble, and Mount St. Mary’s did a tremendous job of taking advantage of that. Assuming that this isn’t another one of these games where Olasewere isn’t on the bench, the Blackbirds should be in a heck of a lot better shape. We have seen a wild NEC Tournament to this point, but after both No. 1 Robert Morris and No. 2 Wagner both were beaten, the defending champs will once again dance with ease.

Mount St. Mary’s vs. Long Island Pick: Long Island Blackbirds -3.5
NEC Final Prediction: Long Island 82 – Mount St. Mary’s 72
