The new #1 team in the country, the Kentucky Wildcats will engage in NCAA basketball betting action on Thursday night, as they take on an up and coming St. John’s Red Storm outfit.

College Basketball Matchup: St. John’s Red Storm @ Kentucky Wildcats
Date: Thursday, December 1st, 7:30 ET
Location: Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN2, ESPN3.com

The Wildcats appear to be one of the most talented teams in America this year, and there is no doubt that, at least for the time being, they are deserving of being called the top team in the land. Kentucky has already taken down a solid Old Dominion team, and it has a good win against Kansas as well. This is probably the toughest game of the year though, especially knowing that the duel against the North Carolina Tar Heels is coming just two days in the future.

We know that Kentucky has some great players with Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones, Anthony Davis, Marquis Teague… and the list goes on and on. That being said, the Johnnies have some potential as well. They have lost three out of four and really haven’t had a fantastic game this year, but the end result is going to be catching a ton of points. Whether Head Coach Steve Lavin is on the bench for this one or not, we tend to think that Nurideen Lindsey, D’Angelo Harrison, Maurice Harkless, and God’s Gift Achiuwa can get the job done and at least stick inside of what will probably be a double digit point spread, even on the road in the hostile conditions of Rupp Arena.
