The NIT Final Four is here! Though none of these teams were picked by the Selection Committee for the NCAA Tournament, all of them really had the ability to play some big time ball against some of the best teams in the game this year. They have proven that, and now, they are ready to battle it out on the NIT Final Four odds! Check out our NIT picks for the semifinals on Tuesday night!

NIT Matchup: #5 Massachusetts Minutemen vs. #3 Stanford Cardinal
Date: Tuesday, March 27th, 7:00 ET
Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
NIT Odds: Stanford -2.5
NIT TV Schedule: ESPN,

Considering the fact that two of the four teams that are going to be playing here at Madison Square Garden are from the Pac-12, we know that we are going to see a heck of a lot of fans of the Minutemen here. The Atlantic 10 is a conference that usually does quite well in this tournament, as we have seen plenty of teams from this league make it to the Final Four here at MSG. It could be a good omen for a UMass team that clearly has been rising in value since beating the Temple Owls in the quarterfinals of the A-10 tourney. Stanford won the NIT in 1991, but that doesn’t mean that it is going to be the better team in this one. We just think that the hot Minutemen, who have already won three games on the road to reach this point in the tourney, are the team to pick to move onto the final of this duo.

NIT Free Pick: Massachusetts +2.5

NIT Matchup: #6 Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. #1 Washington Huskies
Date: Tuesday, March 27th, 9:00 ET
Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
NIT Odds: Washington -1
NIT TV Schedule: ESPN,

The Golden Gophers were clearly one of the last teams selected to the NIT, but they were also a team that really deserved to be at least in the discussion for the NCAA Tournament as well. They have gone on the road and logged three victories, and the way that they have played in games this year outside of the Big Ten has been remarkable. Ralph Sampson III should be back tonight, and that would put him in the fold for the first time since before the Big Ten Tournament. The Huskies were clearly shafted out of the NCAA Tournament in our eyes, and we think if the Selection Committee had to choose again, the regular season Pac-12 champs would have been dancing instead of a team like the Iona Gaels. U-Dub has a heck of a lot of NBA talent on the court, and we think that a tremendous offense that can run with the best of them is going to be able to knock off the Gophers on Tuesday night.

NIT Free Pick: Washington -1
