Maryland has a signature win at home against the Duke Blue Devils, but it is going to need more than that to dance. Just since that point, the team has bad road losses to the Boston College Eagles and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The way that Maryland can win this game is to get to the glass. C Alex Len is the man that is going to have to be huge against the Tar Heels, and if he doesn’t have a double-double in this one, it is going to be tough for the Terps to win. North Carolina has been a hot team of late, winning five games in a row and scoring six straight covers dating back to the game at Cameron Indoor against the Duke Blue Devils in which it challenged one of the best teams in the country. F James Michael McAdoo is going to be the man on the other side of the court to watch out for. As long as McAdoo manages to at least cancel out Len, the Tar Heels will be in great shape. They have a tremendous backcourt that is going to be able to overcome Maryland’s backcourt in all likelihood. As a result, we have to give UNC the nod on Wednesday night.

North Carolina vs. Maryland Pick: North Carolina Tar Heels Pick ‘Em
North Carolina vs. Maryland Prediction: North Carolina 72 – Maryland 65
