Northeastern has covered seven of its last nine road games, but that’s about all that we are going to say good for the boys from the CAA. The Colonial was a terrible conference this year, and the Huskies happened to be the best of the worst in the regular season. This Northeastern team did win some decent games this year, but it really hasn’t faced a team anything like this. In fact, this is the first game against a major conference team that the Huskies have faced. Alabama didn’t really put together much of a schedule this year, but some of their out of conference wins were better than this one would be. Games against comparable teams like Oakland or Charleston Southern ended with double digit victories that came with ease. The three guard backcourt of Trevor Releford, Trevor Lacey, and Rodney Cooper should be good enough to take down the Huskies without all that much of a fight from the bottom seed from the CAA. Roll with the Ride on Thursday night to romp to the second round of the NIT.

Northeastern vs. Alabama Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide -12
First Round NIT Predictions: Alabama 76 – Northeastern 58
