Free College Hoops Picks: Notre Dame Fighting Irish @ Syracuse Orange
Date: Monday, February 4th, 7:00 ET
Location: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
Notre Dame vs. Syracuse Live TV: ESPN

When we look at the Fighting Irish and the Orange, we see two of the exact same team. On one hand, we see a Notre Dame outfit that is missing G Scott Martin and is relying pretty much solely on the play of G Jerian Grant, F Jack Cooley, and G Eric Atkins. On the other hand, we see a Syracuse team that is missing F James Southerland and is relying virtually entirely upon F CJ Fair, G Brandon Triche, and G Michael Carter-Williams. The only reason that the spread is this high is because the Cuse have a huge win on the road against the Louisville Cardinals to their credit. The Fighting Irish have struggled with some of the Big East’s cellar dwellers, but this is really the first chance to take on an elite team on the road at this level. We do think that Syracuse is going to win this game, if for nothing else, the fact that it has the Carrier Dome faithful on its side trying to remove a bad two game losing streak on the road. However, these two teams are not separated by nine points, even in the Big Apple.

Notre Dame vs. Syracuse Pick: Notre Dame Fighting Irish +9
Notre Dame vs. Syracuse Prediction: Syracuse 65 – Notre Dame 61
