There are just a few weeks left in the 2011 college football betting campaign, and we are set to analyze the BCS National Championship odds and will try to make our college football picks for the biggest game of the year.

2011 BCS National Championship Prediction #1: Oklahoma State Cowboys (+400 at Wager Web Sportsbook): The Cowboys have the best shot at taking all of the marbles in our eyes. They are coming out of the Big XII, a conference that has had a ton of success in the big time bowl games, and they only have a game left against the Oklahoma Sooners that could separate them from the title game. We figure that the Cowboys will be favored in Bedlam, and though we know that they would be underdogs in the title game against virtually all of the other contenders, the parlay odds on the two big games that would be left in Okie State’s season would be a heck of a lot lower than 4 to 1. That being said, this is probably the only team that we know is in good shape right now in terms of the odds to win the National Championship.

2011 BCS National Championship Prediction #2: LSU Tigers (+100 at Wager Web Sportsbook): There’s just no stopping the Bayou Bengals right now. They’ve got one of the best defenses in the nation, and Head Coach Les Miles is consistently finding ways to generate enough offense to win games. QB Jordan Jefferson and QB Jarrett Lee are working well together, and though they would be the worst tandem of QBs in the title game, they are good enough with that defense to get the job done. The only issue that we see with LSU is that it really shouldn’t be an odds on favorite. Sure, it should slaughter Ole Miss this week, but the LSU/Arkansas game always has a history of being difficult, while the SEC Championship Game against likely Georgia won’t be a trip in the park either. We do give the Tigers one benefit of the doubt though, and that’s that there are voters that are still going to put them in the title game even if they lose to the Hogs or the Dawgs, which makes them the only team in America that could conceivably still have a lifeline to use.

2011 BCS National Championship Prediction #3: Oklahoma Sooners (+1250 at Wager Web Sportsbook): Notice that we have totally skipped out on Alabama at 3 to 1 to win it all. The Crimson Tide definitely need some help, and they need a lot more of it than we think they are going to get to justify these types of odds when they are probably going to be underdogs against LSU if the two were going to match wits again with each other. Oklahoma may or may not control its own destiny. We tend to think that if it can win out, including posting an impressive win in Stillwater at Oklahoma State, we know that one of these one loss teams are going to be in the title game. If the Sooners don’t have enough to get to the title game at that point, they did everything that they could do, and at over 12 to 1 odds, we feel that this is a great situation for QB Landry Jones and the gang.
