Game Line: LSU -4.5 (from JustBet)
Saturday’s Texas A&M vs LSU NCAA Football Analysis: The ninth-ranked Aggies’ visit Death Valley on Saturday featuring two of the best quarterbacks in the SEC and some of college football’s best running backs and receivers. If LSU is going to cover this number they’re going to need to slow the game down and keep Texas A&M’s offense off the field while Johnny Manziel and company will try to push the tempo and turn this game into a shootout. LSU’s defense has been shaky at best against elite competition this year, allowing 38 points to Alabama and 44 to Georgia. Texas A&M’s 49 points per game lead the SEC by a wide margin and QB Johnny Manziel has accounted for 300 or more total yards for 19 straight games. He racked up over 500 total yards against an Alabama defense that is best in the conference. LSU will have to keep Manziel in the pocket and get off the field on third downs to avoid wearing down over the course of the game against A&M. They will try to rotate bodies often and keep their defensive line fresh in this test of stamina. It’s also a 3:30 start in Death Valley, where it will be hot and humid and players from both sides will fatigue quickly. LSU also had a bye last week so their extra preparation time, especially defensively, will be a key factor early in the game. LSU will rely heavily on QB Zach Mettenberger and his premiere receiver Jarvis Landry to keep moving the ball and scoring enough points to keep up but the key to holding the Aggies off the scoreboard will be RB Jeremy Hill, who will have to be effective if LSU’s game plan will be effective. Texas A&M is a match up problem for the Tigers, they don’t have a good enough defense to stop Johnny Manziel and their offense isn’t good enough to keep up, we like A&M getting more than a field goal in this premiere SEC matchup.
Texas A&M at LSU NCAA Football Picks: Texas A&M +4.5 and under 70.5
Texas A&M at LSU Game Prediction: 31-27 Texas A&M
What to expect in this week 13 NCAA Football match up: LSU’s extra time to prepare for this contest will keep them in the game early on. They will run the ball effectively and have a lead going into half time but Texas A&M will make half time adjustments and Johnny Manziel will play much better in the second half. This game will come down to the wire and Johnny Football is one of the best quarterbacks in the country, he will prove it on the road in a hostile environment in the fourth quarter.
