Baylor Bears vs Oklahoma State Cowboys
Date and Time: Saturday 11/23/13 at 8:00pm on ABC
Game Line: Baylor -9.5 (from JustBet)
Saturday’s Baylor vs Oklahoma State NCAA Football Analysis: With an offense on pace to set major college records at 61 points and 685 yards a game, the Bears (9-0, 6-0) are riding a school-best 13-game winning streak, have matched their highest-ever AP ranking and are fourth in the BCS standings. The Bears have gotten themselves in position to win their first Big 12 title, still facing a pair of potential title-deciding games in the last three weeks. Oklahoma State is 9-1, and coming off a 38-13 win at Texas, which had been the only other team without a loss in Big 12 play. They are a much improved team since senior Clint Chelf took over at quarterback and junior Desmond Roland went back to running back a month ago. The Bears, meanwhile, overcame their first double-digit deficit of the season in a 63-34 victory over Texas Tech last Saturday at the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium. Baylor trailed 14-0 and 20-7 but gained the lead for good by the end of the first quarter. However, Baylor hasn’t won at Stillwater since 1939. The most important factor in this game will be the Oklahoma State running attack against a very weak Baylor rushing defense. They’re allowing over 100 yards per game while Oklahoma State has rushed for over 120 per game since making the switch back to Roland at running back. They might not have a great chance to win this game, but if they can run the ball effectively and keep Baylor’s offense off of the field for much of the game there’s a good chance they can stay with in the number of 9.5. They are a more balanced team with less offense and more defense and at home they should be able to generate enough stops to keep themselves in this game but Baylor’s offense is just too much for Oklahoma State to beat.
Baylor at Oklahoma State NCAA Football Picks: Oklahoma State +9.5 and under 78
Baylor at Oklahoma State Game Prediction: 35-31 Baylor
What to expect in this week 13 NCAA Football match up: Every casual sports bettor knows about the Baylor high powered offensive attack and they’ve accounted for that setting the total in this game at 78. Oklahoma State’s offense isn’t that good and their defense isn’t that bad. They will compete and score with Baylor from start to finish with home field advantage and an effective running game playing major roles in their success. Baylor’s passing attack is too powerful to contain late in the fourth quarter and Baylor wins this game late.
