Missouri Tigers at Mississippi Rebels

Game Line: Mississippi -2.5 (from JustBet)
Saturday’s Missouri vs Mississippi NCAA Football Analysis: Missouri quarterback James Franklin is returning to the starting line up just in time for the Tigers to make a push for an SEC Championship. The 8th ranked Tigers will need to get past two ranked teams to make it to the championship game starting with a road game at Ole Miss this weekend. Franklin hasn’t started the last four games because of an injured right shoulder he suffered against South Carolina in October. The team didn’t miss a beat with freshman Maty Mauk under center and they won three of four keeping them on pace to make it to the conference championship game. The Tigers end their regular season with a home game against Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M next week. James Franklin threw 14 touchdowns to only three interceptions and had an outside shot at Heisman candidacy before his injury. Ole Miss is on a four game winning streak of their own including a big road win at LSU. They’ve been doing a much better job of scoring points since their 25-0 shutout at the hands of Alabama and they will need to score to keep up with Missouri. Rebels running back Jeff Scott is healthy again and will be a key factor in ball possession and getting good gains on first and second down to keep the pressure off their passing attack. He had 425 yards in five games before his injury and another 100 yard performance will really help his team if they’re going to win this game. Missouri’s pass defense is the worst in the SEC at 275 yards per game, but Mississippi quarterback Bo Wallace is a game manager and doesn’t pose a serious threat. Missouri’s defensive line is their strength, holding opponents to 100 rushing yards per game with 34 sacks and 17 interceptions. We’ve been high on this Missouri team all season long and they have the playmakers, especially with Franklin’s return, to win this game on the road. Mississippi has been over achieving this season and Missouri has their season on the line in this game, they should get a win and cover on the road in this one.
Missouri at Mississippi NCAA Football Picks: Missouri -2.5 and over 57
Stanford at USC Game Prediction: 34-21 Missouri
What to expect in this week 13 NCAA Football match up: Missouri will get an early lead and force Mississippi to be one dimensional, which is something they can’t afford to do. The Missouri defensive ends will get pressure on running backs and QB Wallace throughout the game and limit their opportunities. Offensively, the return of James Franklin will spark the Missouri attack and they will have an easy time getting points in a game that won’t be nearly as close as this spread predicts.
