Let’s establish something right away: Air Force isn’t a very good team. We really don’t think that the Falcons have much chance to do anything whatsoever against the average team. That being said, we think that the Broncos are one of the most overrated teams in the country right now, and they have a club that is going to have to string together a whole bunch of wins in a row to even think about getting back in the Top 25 after the bad loss to the Washington Huskies. Even if Boise State won this game by 50 points, this wouldn’t be a team that would be deserving to be in the discussion for the BCS like the team was hoping for right at the start of the campaign.
QB Joe Southwick has only thrown for 386 yards in two games this year, and though he does have five scores against a pick, all five of those scores came last week against the Tennessee Martin Skyhawks. RB Jay Ajayi was another one of these guys who had a great second game against Tennessee Martin and a terrible one against the Washington Huskies. The bottom line for the Broncos though, is that they are averaging over 400 yards per game allowed in two games, and going against a whole new offense the likes of which they won’t see again this season isn’t going to be good. Air Force will get some points on the board, and in the end, it will be able to stay within three touchdowns.
