The Seminoles are one of the few teams in the land that are 3-0 ATS this year, and without a game that has really been all that close to the cover line, there is no reason not to continue to back them on the NCAA football odds. QB Jameis Winston continues to dazzle, and though he made a few mistakes last week against Bethune Cookman, it was no harm, no foul for sure against an FCS team. Remember that the first time Winston played on the road in the first game in his career, he ended up playing a darn near perfect game against a very comparable Pittsburgh outfit on Labor Day night. This is a much easier task against a team that has a far worse offense without all that much in the way of hope of scoring, just as was the case over the course of the last two years when BC scored a total of seven points in each game.
The time is going to come when Florida State is no longer a good team to bet on, but until we reach that point, we are going to continue to ride the Winston Train. Boston College is just 1-2 ATS for a reason this year, and this is clearly going to be the biggest fight that it has had to put up with. QB Chase Rettig hasn’t exactly had a history of performing well in the biggest games of his career, and we don’t see him rattling Florida State either. Against USC, Rettig went just 11-of-24 for 83 yards. This might be an even bigger challenge. Expect similar results at best.
