Louisville Cardinals at Connecticut Huskies
Date and Time: Friday 11/8/13 at 8:30pm on ESPN 2
Game Line: Louisville -27.5 (from JustBet)
Friday’s Louisville vs Connecticut NCAA Football Analysis: Louisville is trying to keep a 38-35 loss to Central Florida behind them when they lost a 21 point lead in the last eight minutes of the game. They are quickly becoming a team that goes through lapses where either offensively or defensively they don’t play a full four quarters. Their defense ranks second in the country behind Michigan State, but untimely big plays and mistakes have kept them from covering the spread in many of their games this season. They only give up 10 points per game and against a winless Connecticut team, which should be good enough. While their chances at an AAC Championship are still well within reach, BCS aspirations have diminished as this team has not lived up to the hype to this point. The meat of their schedule will start next week with games against Houston and Cincinnati both remaining on their schedule. This week however, they head to Connecticut who is one of the worst offensive teams in the country. The Huskies haven’t played in two weeks and are hoping their 120th ranked offense will look better after having some time to regroup but we don’t see that happening. The Huskies can’t run the ball or throw it effectively and against a defense this stout they will be lucky to find the end zone at all. Connecticut won 23-20 in Louisville last year, so the Cardinals won’t overlook this game again. They should have no problem moving the ball up and down the field, while Connecticut will struggle throughout. This is not a good year for Connecticut football with a new head coach and new offensive and defensive schemes they will be out matched by one of the best quarterbacks in college in Teddy Bridgewater playing with one of the leagues strongest defenses.

Free Week 11 Louisville vs Connecticut Prediction: 38-6 Louisville
What to expect in this week 11 NCAA Football match up:
Connecticut will be lucky to move the ball across mid field before Louisville decides to rest its starters towards the end of the game. Their offense will be completely shut down and they will turn the ball over a few times to make sure this game isn’t even watchable in the second half. Offensively, the Cardinals won’t blow them away but short fields and defensive scores will inflate the score and this game will be over by half time. In a match up of one of the best defenses against one of the worst offenses, on a Friday night under the lights, this game should get ugly.
