Week 5 College Football Picks: Louisville Cardinals @ Southern Miss Golden Eagles
Date: Saturday, September 29th, 8:00 ET
Location: M.M. Roberts Stadium, Hattiesburg, MS
CFB Betting Odds: Louisville -10
Louisville vs. Southern Miss Live TV: CBS Sports Network

This is a tricky, tricky looking pointspread to us, and it is definitely bothersome. The Cardinals are favored by just 10 in spite of the fact that they are the ranked team, they have 65% of the action on them, they have covered six straight in this series, and if you take out a few fluky plays here or there, they would be beating teams by over 20 points per game on the campaign. Oh, and we haven’t even mentioned the fact that Southern Miss just got whacked by Western Kentucky by 25 and has already been beaten by East Carolina and Nebraska by double digits as well. It just isn’t sitting right with us right now, and we would love to be able to understand it. We don’t have a great explanation for it, and there really is no justification behind it, but the oddsmakers had to set this line at 10 for a reason. We’ll go with the Golden Eagles and take the points in hopes that home field advantage rules the day.

Louisville @ Southern Miss Pick: Southern Miss +10
Louisville @ Southern Miss Score Prediction: Louisville 27 – Southern Miss 20
