Many are going to back the No. 12 team in the country for sure in this one, as Mississippi State is going to come to Tuscaloosa thinking that it is going to beat the top team in the land. These Bulldogs definitely don’t lack swagger, but what they do lack is the speed, size, and depth to be able to keep up with the Crimson Tide. It’s not like Alabama is in that bad of shape, though it is coming off of one of its worst defensive showings in quite some time when it allowed 13 to the Tennessee Volunteers. The bigger concern here for the Crimson Tide is looking ahead to next week’s showdown with the LSU Tigers. As long as that doesn’t turn out to be the case when push comes to shove, Alabama really should have no problem putting this game away. The defense will surely hold MSU in the mid- to high-teens at best, and the offense will continue to do its thing and get at least into the 30s. If that turns out to be the case, there will be a point in which the Tide can just name the final score. They’ll want to prove a point and send a big message to LSU and the rest of the nation.

Mississippi State @ Alabama Pick: Alabama -24
Mississippi State @ Alabama Score Prediction: Alabama 41 – Mississippi State 13
