The Ohio State Buckeyes will try to state their case for being the No. 1 team in the country on Saturday afternoon, and we are set to make our NCAA basketball picks in the clash between OSU and the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse.

College Basketball Matchup: Ohio State Buckeyes @ Kansas Jayhawks
Date: Saturday, December 10th, 3:15 ET
Location: Phog Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence, KS
College Basketball TV Schedule: ESPN, ESPN3.com

If Kansas is going to compete in this game, it is going to really have to shoot the ball well. The Buckeyes are one of the best offensive teams in the country, shooting almost 51 percent from the floor and averaging well over 80 points per game, and this isn’t going to be something that the Jayhawks are going to be able to slow down when push comes to shove. Tyshawn Taylor is a real sharpshooter, and he has clearly improved his game in this, his sophomore season, averaging over 16 points per game and shooting 46 percent from the floor, including knocking down over 57 percent of his long range attempts.

If either Jared Sullinger or Thomas Robinson get into foul trouble, that team is going to be at a huge disadvantage. Sullinger sat out during the week against Texas Pan American, arguably one of the easiest games on the schedule to date, and the end result was that the team only scored 64 points, and it had its worst shooting game of the year at just 39 percent. This is the first legitimate road game of the year for the Buckeyes, who could be in for a rude awakening if Sullinger really does have problems with his back. Take the Jayhawks at home, especially since we are inevitably going to be getting a few points on our side as well.
