The Big East has always loved to be highlighted on odd nights of the week, but this week, it’ll be Wednesday in which we make our Pittsburgh Panthers vs. Connecticut Huskies picks.

Year To Date Record: 47-46 ATS
Upset Record: 10-20 -$170

Week 9 College Football Matchup: Connecticut Huskies @ Pittsburgh Panthers
Date: Wednesday, October 26th, 8:00 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
College Football Lines: Pittsburgh -10
Over/Under 42.5
Week 9 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN2

It’s amazing that with both teams at 3-4 and 1-1 in Big East play that neither of these teams are anywhere near out of the chase for the conference’s coveted spot into the BCS. Getting hot and rolling off four wins in a row would do it for either team, though neither is clearly going to sniff the Top 25 for the rest of the season.

Don’t expect this to be the prettiest game in the world, though. Neither one of these offenses is what you’d refer to as “stellar,” as the two are only combining to average 47.6 points per game. The two are allowing a combined 44.7 points per game as well.

The question is going to be whether the Connecticut defense can handle RB Ray Graham or not. The last time we saw Graham on national television, he was torching the South Florida Bulls for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. The bad news for the Panthers is that Connecticut has one of the best rush defenses in the Big East at just 89.0 yards per game. If Graham can’t get going, there is just no way that U-Pitt is going to be covering a double digit point spread.

Week 9 NCAA Football Pick: Connecticut +10
