The Warriors need to be really, really careful in this game. They are probably looked at right now as the bosses of the WAC with the Boise State Broncos no longer in the fold, and the rest of the conference is going to be gunning for them. What better way for a team to get back in the driver’s seat after some frustrating seasons than to win a game like this at home on national television?

In terms of talent, we have no doubt that the Warriors are the better team. Heck, they have a quarterback in Bryant Moniz that has thrown for 15 TDs against just one pick on the year, and he is leading this team to nearly 400 passing yards per game. Meanwhile, San Jose State isn’t even averaging 350 total yards per game, and its defense really hasn’t played all that well either.

However, here’s the key that we have to remember. The Spartans have played two home games this year, a win over the New Mexico State Aggies in relatively convincing fashion and a three point loss against the Nevada Wolf Pack in a game in which they should have pulled the upset. Hawaii has played three games on the road. It lost to both the Washington Huskies and the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels (as 17 point favorites, no less), and it beat down the Louisiana State Bulldogs. We’re going to put this in with our upsets of the week.
