Week 2 College Football Picks: Penn State Nittany Lions @ Virginia Cavaliers
Date: Saturday, September 8th, 12:00 ET
Location: Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, VA
CFB Betting Odds: Virginia -9.5
Penn State vs. Virginia Live TV: ABC

What we learned last week is that the Nittany Lions just don’t have the depth of some of the other great programs in this country. When injuries started to happen, gone went the 14-3 lead that they amassed. Sure, PSU has a team that is good enough to win this game, but we think that it is a demoralized club that is on its way to a 3-9 season or so. Remember that last year, the Cavaliers were able to go into Tallahassee and beat Florida State, and they nearly won their share of the ACC as a result. QB Michael Rocco, once considered a stiff that had to come in and play as a freshman for a bad team, is now a sophomore that has amassed a lot of games under his belt, and he is looking better and better as the years go by. Don’t kid yourself. This is a pointspread that is absolutely legitimate. The Nittany Lions shouldn’t really stand all that much of a chance of going on the road and competing in this game. Getting this one into single digits was enough for us for sure.

Penn State @ Virginia Pick: Virginia Cavaliers -9.5
Penn State @ Virginia Score Prediction: Penn State 27 – Virginia 23
