Thursday NCAA Football Analysis:   Tajh Boyd and the Clemson offense have made it look easy since losing to Florida State a few weeks ago.  They’ve scored 99 points in their last two games and are coming into this contest off a bye week so they should be fresh and ready to play.  The Tigers are averaging 40 points per game, 15th in college football and WR Sammy Watkins is a big reason why.  He is possibly the best receiver in college football and has been targeted more often lately with 332 yards on 22 catches in his last two games.  When these two teams met last season Boyd threw for 400 yards and ran for 70 in a 47-31 win on the road.  Georgia Tech is coming into this game playing well too.  They’ve followed a three game losing streak with a three game winning streak where they’ve outscored their opponents 112-35.  The Yellow Jackets triple option offense ranks 10th in the country in rushing yards and 122nd in passing.  Behind senior running back Robert Godhigh who has 11 carries for 200 yards in his last two games they have been pounding the ball into the end zone and will have to keep scoring to stay with Clemson on the road.  The extra week to prepare for a team that runs a unique offense will play a big factor in this game.  Clemson has had 13 days to watch film and practice to prepare for the Georgia Tech option attack and that will be enough for them to slow them down defensively.  Offensively the Georgia Tech secondary won’t be able to compete with the Clemson receivers and they will have a lot of success through the air.  If Clemson can get a few early scores Georgia Tech will be out of the game because they don’t run an offense geared to come from behind.
Georgia Tech at Clemson Free NCAA Football Picks: Clemson -10.5 and over 59
Georgia Tech at Clemson Game Prediction:  49-21 Clemson
What to expect in this week 12 NCAA Football match up: This is a bad match up for Georgia Tech.  Clemson’s passing attack is clicking on all cylinders and Georgia Tech has problems stopping the passing game.  Tajh Boyd will march his team to a few early scores and Georgia Tech won’t be able to recover.  Having an extra week to get ready for this game, Clemson’s defense will contain the Georgia Tech option attack and keep them from getting back into the game after getting ahead early.
