There were a ton of upsets last week, and a lot of people think that this is the game where the Cardinals are finally going to end up getting ruined. They know that any given loss ends their chances at the BCS National Championship Game, and the truth of the matter is if this game is lost, it might end the BCS dreams as a whole, knowing that UCF would have the tiebreaker as well as a one-game lead in conference play. That said, this isn’t a game where the Cardinals are slipping, and we are firm believers in simply breaking down the X’s and the O’s of this one.

The fact of the matter is that the Knights aren’t as good as their 4-1 record suggests. Their defense hasn’t really had a tremendous game in quite some time, and this unit is going to get wrecked by a Louisville offense that has the best quarterback in the land in QB Teddy Bridgewater and likely one of the best holistic offenses in the land. If the Knights let the South Carolina Gamecocks roll up 38 points on the them after QB Connor Shaw left the game, it’s any wonder what is going to happen here, assuming that Bridgewater stays healthy. The other facts are just damning to anyone in Orlando rooting for UCF to keep this one close. The Cardinals have outscored each of their foes by at least 14. They have outgained their foes by at least 115 yards in every game and by at least 221 yards in five of their six games. Louisville has dropped at least 24 on all of its foes, and it hasn’t allowed more than 13 to any of them. This could be the first time that someone gets into the 20s against the Cards, but it’s not going to be the first time that anyone beats them. UCF doesn’t stand a chance and will trail virtually this whole game by at least two scores.

UCF at Louisville Pick: Louisville Cardinals -10.5
UCF vs. Louisville Score Prediction: Louisville 34 – UCF 17
