Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
Date and Time: Sunday, 11/3/13 at 1:00pm on CBS
Game Line: Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 (from JustBet)
Sunday NFL Football Analysis: The Kansas City Chiefs are the only team in the history of the NFL to have the worst record in the league one year and start 8-0 the next. They haven’t won 9 in a row since 2003 but are trying to avoid talk of their amazing start to the season. Kansas City has won largely because their defense is best in the league, averaging just 12.3 points per game with an NFL best 36 sacks. Offensively, they’ve been much less impressive. They scored 23 points for just the second time this season in a 23-17 win against Cleveland last week. They will be tested against a Buffalo team that has won 5 of the last 6 meetings between the two teams. They’ve dropped three of their last four and are dealing with a bunch of injuries heading into this game. The biggest injury is to now starting quarterback Thad Lewis, who could be sidelined for the third Buffalo QB, Jeff Tuel. Combine that with running back C.J. Spiller missing his second consecutive game and this one shapes up to be very low scoring. Back up running back Fred Jackson has done a good job filling in, but he has a big task in front of him against one of the leagues best rushing defenses. Buffalo has a very young athletic line backing core which should contain Jamaal Charles and force Alex Smith to throw the ball, and we just don’t have the kind of faith needed to trust Alex Smith in the cold in Buffalo. The Bills have a few big plays up their sleeve every week and we expect the same even against this defense, which might be enough to put a shocking end to the undefeated season.

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills Game Prediction: 20-17 Bills
What to expect in this NFL Football match up: Buffalo’s not going to let Jeff Tuel decide this game. Whether C.J. Spiller or Fred Jackson is running the ball here, they should have 25+ carries to keep the chances for sacks and interceptions to a minimum. If they do throw the ball they should find a big play with WR Stevie Johnson as the Bills have done the last few weeks. Defensively, the Bills line backing core is going to give Jamaal Charles fits, they can keep up with him on the outside while containing Dwayne Bowe and hurting Alex Smith’s interception free start to the season. Buffalo knows this is their biggest game and Kansas City has a target on their backs, we think Buffalo has a good enough team to pull an upset at home here.
