Sunday NFL Football Analysis: The Houston Texans edged out the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South last year, and this year was expected to be tightly contended as well but it has been anything but competitive so far.  The Colts are the only team in their division at .500 or better and they are on their way to ending the Texans reign.  Houston is trying to avoid their first six game losing streak since 2005 with a win at home in this game that many had much higher hopes for when the season started.  Offensively, Houston has been one of the worst teams in the league over their last five games, averaging just 12 points per game.  With weapons like WR Andre Johnson and RB Arian Foster, there’s no reason for Houston’s lack of offense.  Even with starting QB Matt Schaub not getting the job done, the Texans offense on paper should be performing much better than it has been.  The Colts defense knows they will have to limit the big plays from Houston, keep everything in front of them and not let anyone beat them down the field.  If they can contain the Texans offense there’s no way they will execute long scoring drives.  Offensively, the Colts are going to have to make up for the loss of WR Reggie Wayne for the season with a torn ACL but they have the balance among their young receivers and the addition of Trent Richardson to help them run the ball.  The Texans will get up for this divisional game at home and they have too many weapons on offense to truly be as bad as they have played of late.  With heavy public money and perception on the Colts, Houston can very well sneak this game out at home.

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans Game Prediction: 26-20 Texans
What to expect in this NFL Football match up:
There’s no way the Houston offense is really as bad as they’ve played lately.  They have too many weapons to not find the endzone and they know they need to come out and put points on the board against their division rivals and they will surprise some people with early points in this game.  The Colts will take some time to learn how to handle life without Reggie Wayne and their passing game will suffer without him for a couple of weeks.  Houston has been under achieving so far this season and if they can’t wake up for a home game against a divison rival to end a losing streak then there really is no hope for the Texans in 2013.
