It was thought to be Tuel Time in Buffalo, but on Monday, Head Coach Doug Marrone called an audible and announced that QB Thad Lewis would be starting on Sunday against the Bengals. QB Jeff Tuel is being slighted even though he was the only active quarterback on the roster in Week 5 that was healthy. Marrone was really hoping that Buffalo would sign QB Josh Freeman, and if you listen to the undertones in his quotes after a 37-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, the hope was there to bring in someone else who could start right away. With Freeman shipping off to Minnesota though, that possibility is out the window, and the only men that are being rumored to be picked up right now are QB JaMarcus Russell and QB Pat White, neither of which give us that warm, fuzzy feeling. If you’re threatening to bring in JaMarcus Russell, you must be in bad shape, and that’s the clue that we’re going to take in the days leading up to this game.

The only concern that we have is that the Bengals really haven’t scored all that much offensively over the course of the last few weeks. The defense has only allowed 23 points in two games, but the offense has just 19 in those outings. We know that QB Andy Dalton needs to make some better decisions with the football, but we have to think that he is going to get the job done in this game. It’s only going to take getting into the 20s to cover this number for sure, and if Cincinnati can’t get to 24 against this Buffalo team, it is going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble going forward for the rest of the season. This is a game that the Bengals should romp in.

Bengals @ Bills Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -7.5
Bengals @ Bills Score Prediction: Bengals 23 – Bills 9
