Monday Night Football in the capitol is going to be arguably the most interesting game of the season. This is the first time that we are going to see Head Coach Chip Kelly and his potential bizarre offense in action, and it’s also going to be the first time that we will see QB Robert Griffin III in a game since tearing his ACL as well. The level of intrigue is clearly off the charts, and we really don’t know how most are making their NFL picks in this one. We think that this is the most difficult game on the board.
That being said, we look at the Eagles and think that there are some issues from a personnel standpoint. WR Riley Cooper isn’t exactly on good terms at the moment, while WR Jeremy Maclin and WR Arrelious Benn are out for the season. Unless someone else emerges that we just don’t see right now, WR Jason Avant and WR DeSean Jackson are the only receivers out there that are going to be catching most of the passes from QB Michael Vick. We also aren’t 100% sure that the Eagles and Coach Kelly are really in the same boat together. There has been a lot of infighting going on, and we aren’t all that sure that it isn’t going to come back to bite this team in the backside. The Redskins won and covered both of these games last season, and we think that they are going to ultimately get the job done in this one as well.
Eagles @ Redskins Pick: Washington Redskins -3.5
Eagles @ Redskins Score Prediction: Washington 28 – Philadelphia 17
