Sunday NFL Football Analysis: After a big win against the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning will head to New England to take on rival Tom Brady and the Patriots. It’s appearing likely that Manning will have former Patriots star receiver Wes Welker to help him after suffering a concussion last week. Peyton Manning should also have the services of TE Julius Thomas who left last weeks game with a knee injury but returned to practice Thursday. With 34 TD passes in 10 games, Manning remains on pace to reclaim the NFL single-season record from Brady. The Patriots quarterback had 50 touchdown passes in 2007, three years after Manning had 49. The Patriots, meanwhile, are coming off a controversial 24-20 loss at Carolina on Monday Night Football. New England drove 62 yards in the final minute and seemed to catch a break when the Panthers were flagged after intercepting Brady’s pass to TE Rob Gronkowski the end zone. Officials instead waived off that pass interference penalty after deciding the ball was uncatchable, handing the Patriots the defeat. Tom Brady and company should be looking forward to a home game to put that call behind him. He has a great 7-2 record at home against Peyton Manning, who has notoriously not played as well outside in the cold. Tom Brady and the Patriots beat Denver last season in a game where RB Stevan Ridley set a career high at 151 yards rushing. It will be the combination of rushing the ball and playing better defense that will be the key to the Patriots success in this game. New England had one of the best defenses in the AFC earlier this season but injuries to Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, Adrian Wilson, Afronzo Dennard and Steve Gregory, all starters, have hurt them in recent weeks. Without them they will have a very hard time slowing down the Denver passing attack and will need to score a lot of points to keep up.

What to expect in this NFL Football match up: Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are too good of quarterbacks for this game not to be a shootout. Neither opposing pass defense has the corners to shut down the weapons on the outside and both offenses will march up and down the field from start to finish in this game. What will start as a balanced attack for New England will be pass happy once Peyton Manning scores early in the game and it will be off to the races from there. Tom Brady won’t be happy with the way his team played on Monday Night football and he will come out firing on all cylinders in a game where whoever has the ball last wins.
