Chicago Bears at New York Jets Monday Night NFL Football Analysis: These two teams head into Monday Night Football after two completely different halves to end week 2. After trailing by 17 in the second quarter, Jay Cutler rallied the Chicago Bears to an improbable road in in San Francisco while the New York Jets built an 18 point lead in Green Bay before falling apart and losing.  Trying to follow up on the thrilling win, Cutler looks to continue his sensational play Monday night when his banged up Bears visit a Jets team trying to regroup from a collapse.  Chicago got off to a demoralizing start to the season with 23-20 overtime loss to Buffalo at Soldier Field in Week 1, a performance that left little reason to believe it could bounce back last Sunday at San Francisco. The Bears looked to be on their way to an 0-2 start trailing 17-0, but three Cutler to Marshall touchdown passes later and the Bears are 1-1.  The Jets were cruising toward a 2-0 start with a 21-3 lead at Green Bay midway through the second quarter last Sunday, but gained 132 yards the rest of the way and lost 31-24.  Making the defeat even more painful, a 37-yard touchdown pass that would have pulled the Jets within one with about 5 minutes to go was negated because offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg was signaling timeout just before the snap. The Jets below average secondary will have their hands full trying to slow down Cutler, who has a 61.6 completion percentage, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions in leading the Bears to a 6-1 record on Monday Night Football.  On the other side of the football, the Bears are already one of the most injury prone teams in the NFL this season.  They will be missing three players from the secondary, two from the offensive line and two from the defensive line, which is tough for any NFL team to overcome.  The Bears running game took a step backward with Matt Forte rushing for 21 yards on 12 attempts against the 49ers.  Moving the ball on the ground won’t be easy against the Jets who are allowing a league low 52.5 yards per game this season.  The Jets are just as strong running the ball themselves, ranking first in the NFL with 179 yards per game behind Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson who should see a heavy workload against a Bears defense that is allowing over 5 yards per carry.  It was the big plays in the passing game that carried the Bears to a win against San Francisco and they’re going to need more of the same if they’re going to get a big road win on Monday Night Football.

Chicago Bears at New York Jets  Game Prediction: 26-21 Jets

What to expect in this Week 3  NFL Football match up: These two offenses will look like polar opposites in this game.  The Jets will try to keep their defense off the field by running the football early and often.  They will try to limit Geno Smith’s chances at making a mistake by playing within the game plan and not taking many shots down the field.  On the other hand, Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey will try to do the exact opposite with quick strikes and big plays down the field.  Both teams will have success especially early in the game but the Jets offensive and defensive lines will wear out an already depleted Bears front seven and take advantage later in the game.  The Jets will score a late game touchdown to give them the victory in this contest as the Bears are just too beat up to get a road win in a hostile environment this early in the season.
