Monday Night NFL Football Analysis: The most important game of the weekend takes place on Monday Night this weekend when the two best teams in the NFC faceoff on ESPN.  The timing probably couldn’t be worse for the surging Seattle Seahawks will be without two defensive backs with the NFC’s most prolific passer coming to town.  The numbers say that Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints should have plenty of incentive to end Seattle’s franchise-record 13-game home win streak.  The conference’s top teams are separated by one game as they meet in a Monday night showdown with major postseason implications.  Seattle is 10-1 and has won six straight and had last weekend off before returning to the news that cornerback Walter Thermond was officially suspended Tuesday by the NFL for the next four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. The Seahawks’ secondary is already missing starting cornerback Brandon Browner because of a groin injury.  Brees is second in the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns so the Seattle defensive front seven is going to have to generate some pressure and make Brees uncomfortable if they’re going to stop him.  The most important match up on the other side of the ball will be Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch against the New Orleans front seven.  The Saints were one of the worst rushing defenses in the league before limiting Frank Gore and Steven Jackson to a combined 111 rushing yards in back to back wins.  Lynch is a big part of what Seattle wants to do offensively and if they can force Seattle to become one dimensional they have a great chance to force turnovers and win this game.  Seattle QB Russell Wilson is only averaging 200 yards per game through the air and playing from behind is not their strength.  Vertran Drew Brees will score early in this game and put Seattle in positions they don’t want to be in on third and long and in obvious passing situations.  The Saints will give themselves a huge leg up in home field advantage in the NFC with a big win on the road on Monday night football.

New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks Game Prediction: 29-24 New Orleans
What to expect in this NFL Football match up: Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is impossible to match up with no matter how strong your defense is and he will have his 100 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Brees will be throwing the ball early and often with several short passes to running backs and recievers on slants to take advantage of the substitute Seahawks secondary players.  On the other side of the ball the Saints will contain Marshawn Lynch and force Wilson to throw the ball often after the Saints take an early lead.  They will be out of their element for most of the second half and the Saints will look good in an important road win.
