Sunday NFL Football Analysis: Just a month ago it seemed there was little chance the Baltimore Ravens were going to miss the playoffs after winning last years Super Bowl.  However, after four straight wins, they now control their fate in the AFC North and can clinch a playoff berth for the sixth straight year with a win against New England and a little help.  New England’s playoff scenario is much less complicated, beat the Ravens and win a fifth straight AFC East title.  The Ravens are also after their third straight win against New England after beating them last year and in the AFC Championship game.  In Monday night’s 18-16 win at Detroit Baltimore rode Justin Tucker’s leg to six field goals including a 61 yard game winner in the final minute to set a franchise record.  He hasn’t missed since week 2 and his streak of 33 straight is the longest since the 2005 season.  The Patriots didn’t have it on their potential game winning drive against Miami in a 24-20 loss which Tom Brady threw a game deciding interception as time expired.  Brady leaned heavily on slot receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola who both had big games in tight end Rob Gronkowski’s absence.  Edelman’s 89 catches rank fifth in the NFL.  After a slow start to the season the passing game has been more New Enland like over the last six weeks.  Brady leads the NFL with 2,225 yards since November first and has only thrown four interceptions in that span.  Whether they can convert in the red zone without Gronkowski, something they struggled with in the first six games without him, remains to be seen.  In typical Ravens fashion, they haven’t done it with gaudy offensive numbers. Consistency has been enough as they’ve averaged 313.3 yards in their last four games, never straying below 305 or above 325. They’ve turned the ball over four times during the winning streak and haven’t allowed over 26 points since a 49-27 Week 1 loss at Denver.  Baltimore’s bend but don’t break defense will keep Tom Brady out of the end zone and give them their third straight win against their AFC nemesis.

New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens Game Prediction: 24-19 Baltimore
What to expect in this week 16 NFL Football match up: Baltimore’s defense is building a reputation for allowing teams to move the ball down the field and stopping them once they get into the red zone.  This will be a good strategy against a Patriots offense that will be without their top red zone target.  Baltimore will keep New England out of the end zone and force them to kick field goals.  Offensively, a good mix of run and pass will keep the Patriots defense off guard enough to make a few big plays and win the game late in the fourth quarter.
