Sunday NFL Football Analysis: Looking for an eighth straight victory, the Seahawks can clinch the NFC West and a first-round bye while trying to avoid a fifth consecutive road defeat to the 49ers.  Seattle has the NFL’s best record at 11-1 and are coming into this game after routing the New Orleans Saints 34-7 on Monday Night football.  Looking for a sixth road win this season, the Seahawks can clinch a first round bye with a win over San Francisco.  They only need to split their last four games to clinch home field throughout the playoffs but they don’t expect their next challenge to be an easy one.  Seattle has held the 49ers to just 520 yards of offense in their last two meetings with a combined score of 71-16, but those were both home games.  At Candlestick Park they have been outscored 109-54 during their five game losing streak.  The home team has won the match up between these two teams since they both became NFC powerhouses.  After some mid season struggles, San Francisco has beaten the St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins by a combined 50-19 and is playing much better on both sides of the ball.  Colin Kaepernick has done a solid job managing the 49ers offense by completing 65.4 percent of his passes while throwing four touchdowns and no interceptions over the last two weeks. However, in  the 29-3 loss at Seattle in September, he was 13 of 28 for 127 yards with three interceptions and a fumble while being sacked three times.  He will obviously need to play better than that if his team is going to have a chance in this game.  Running back Frank Gore will need to take some of the weight off of Kaepernick’s shoulders.  He has fared well against a Seattle defense that stops most running attacks.  San Francisco will also have Michael Crabtree back for this game who made his season debut last week and caught two passes for 68 yards.  The San Francisco offense will move the ball enough for their defense to win this game for them.  The home team always seems to win this contest and there’s no reason to think differently this time around.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers Game Prediction: 20-16 San Francisco
What to expect in this NFL Football match up: This line would be -3 or maybe even -3.5 if the whole country didn’t just watch Seattle crush New Orleans on Monday Night Football.  San Francisco is a very strong team and the advantage of playing at home where they are 5-0 in their last five against Seattle seems like the smart side.  Frank Gore should have 25 carries to keep the pressure off of the passing attack and to slow the game down while their defense will hold Seattle to field goals.  Seattle’s offense is not as strong as it has played in recent weeks and the San Francisco defense will contain them.
