Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Sunday NFL Football Analysis: The Kansas City Chiefs lost linebacker Derrick Johnson and defensive tackle Mike DeVito to injury in week one, which is not what they needed to hear heading into Mile High Stadium and a week 2 matchup with Peyton Manning and the Bronco offense. Stopping Manning will be difficult no matter who is on the field. He threw for 323 yards and a touchdown in a 27-17 victory over previously undefeated Kansas City on November 17 last season and 403 yards and five more TDs in a 35-28 win Dec. 1. Manning has thrown 11 touchdowns while winning all four matchups with the Chiefs since joining the Broncos. The Chiefs enter as a heavy underdog after last week’s loss, when Charles had seven carries for 19 yards and four catches for 15. Charles finished fourth in the NFL in offensive touches last season, and with the rest of their offense in shambles, he is going to need to get the ball early and often if they’re going to keep this game interesting. Charles averaged 4.9 yards per carry against Denver last season and he will need to replicate that again in this contest. Facing the Kansas City defense again might inspire Denver running back Monte Ball. He rushed for a career best 117 yards in the last meeting, including a 45 yarder that helped him average 9.0 yards per carry. If the Broncos can build an early lead in this contest, he will get a heavy workload in the second half to help ensure that Jamaal Charles can’t help his team come back in the second half. This isn’t the Kansas City team that was in contention in the AFC last season, they’ve lost too many weapons on both sides of the football and they will show how far away they really are when they go into Denver. This is a terrible matchup for the Chiefs right now and it will show on the scoreboard.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Game Prediction: 31-17 Broncos
What to expect in this Week 2 NFL Football match up: This game will be over early. Denver will be in complete control from start to finish with the newly reinstated Wes Welker taking some of the receiving workload from tight end Julius Thomas and Demarius Thomas. Denver will be up 21+ at halftime again this week and they will be in cruise control in the second half as Kansas City will have a hard time moving the football against the Broncos improved defense. You don’t want to go into Denver with injuries to your defensive front but that is the problem Kansas City is going to face in this contest and it will show from the very beginning.
