Why the Steelers are favored in this game, we aren’t all that sure. We do have a lot of confidence that the ground game is going to be able to pile up some yards with RB Le’Veon Bell, RB Jonathan Dwyer, and RB Isaac Redman amongst others battling for touches, but the quarterback situation behind QB Ben Roethlisberger is just downright brutal. QB Bruce Gradkowski will likely be the first man off of the bench, and after that, it will be up to QB John Parker Wilson and QB Landry Jones. Yuck. The Giants at least have some proven backups behind QB Eli Manning, as QB David Carr has been doing this for years and years, while QB Curtis Painter was a starter just two years ago for the Indianapolis Colts. Of all of the rookies in the NFL this year, we are probably most intrigued by watching QB Ryan Nassib in the preseason, as many thought that this was a man that had a potential to be a first round pick this season. Nassib has a big arm, and he is going to get a chance to flash it in this one in the second half. The Giants are the right side to back in this one, if for no other reason because their quarterback rotation is just significantly stronger than that of the Steelers, and there isn’t all that much of a difference in the rest of the rosters when push comes to shove.
