Week 1 College Football Picks: Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints
Date: Sunday, September 9th, 1:00 ET
Location: Mercedes Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA
NFL Betting Odds: New Orleans -7.5
Redskins vs. Saints On TV: FOX

There isn’t a team in the league that has a better record at the Louisiana Superdome than the Redskins do. They have won five of their six visits to this venue all-time, and they have picked up three victories in a row dating back to 1994. The Redskins have also covered three in a row in this series, though the last meeting was three years ago. QB Robert Griffin III has the ability to do some damage, and we just aren’t all that sure whether the Saints are going to be able to get off of the mat when adversity strikes without Head Coach Sean Payton calling the shots. We know that New Orleans is going to be good, and we expect to see the Saints win this game, but doing so by more than a TD just doesn’t seem like it is going to happen all that often. We think that this defense for the Redskins can keep them in the game.

Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints Pick: Washington Redskins +7.5
Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints Score Prediction: New Orleans 23 – Washington 17
