Week 2 Betting Odds: Cincinnati -6.5 (41)

It was only a week ago that you could have gotten Cincinnati at -3 to win this game. Obviously, that bet on the NFL odds looks to be a little bit better now than anything else you can get in this game, but we aren’t ones to be overreacting quite yet. Yes, the Steelers lost OL Maurkice Pouncey and two others for the whole season last week, but not all is lost. QB Ben Roethlisberger knows that he is going to need to put the ball in the air if he is going to want to ultimately figure out how to win this game, something that he really didn’t take that much of an opportunity to do last week against the Titans.
We’re just not all that sold that the Bengals are ready to win games like this by a touchdown. There’s a reason that the oddsmakers have been very hesitant to put this game all the way up to seven in spite of the fact that over 60% of the betting action has come in on Cincinnati. The Steelers are clearly a relatively sharp play at this point, and that’s rare for us to say. Big Ben and the gang aren’t going to win this one, but we could definitely see this being a game that is decided by just a single field goal, just like last year’s game was at the end of the season between these two that put Cincy in and knocked Pittsburgh out of the second season.
Steelers @ Bengals Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +6.5
Steelers @ Bengals Score Prediction: Cincinnati 20 – Pittsburgh 17
