The perfect season for the Green Bay Packers continues on Monday Night Football, and we are all set to make our NFL picks in the duel between the Pack and the Minnesota Vikings.

Week 10 NFL Matchup: Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

NFL Week 10 Lines: Green Bay -13.5
Week 10 NFL TV Schedule: ESPN
Vikings Notes: We give the Vikes a bit of credit for the way that they have played over the course of the last few weeks. They might be a 2-6 team, but they have only lost one game by more than six points all season long. However, with QB Christian Ponder calling the shots, Minnesota seems to be a more competent team. The squad has 51 points over the course of these last two weeks, and it has done so without getting more than one touchdown from RB Adrian Peterson. Don’t mistake “All Day” as a bust though, as he has been in the end zone at least once in six of his eight games this year, including toting the rock to the Promised Land at least once in four in a row. The defense still has to be concerning, though. This unit has allowed an average of 31.0 points per game in its last three, which isn’t good news with the trip coming to Lambeau.
Packers Notes: It’s really hard to criticize a team which is 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS this year. QB Aaron Rodgers would be on pace to smash all sorts of records this season if not for the play of others like QB Drew Brees and QB Tom Brady. That being said, he has a 129 quarterback rating at the halfway point of the season, and he is leading an offense that is scoring a league best 34.4 points per game. We do have some mild concerns, though. Last week against the San Diego Chargers, Green Bay allowed 38 points, marking the fifth time this year that it has allowed at least 23 in a game. Sure, when you score 34, you can give up 23, but it is still definitely a cause for concern. It also doesn’t help that this running game doesn’t always look the sharpest with RB Ryan Grant and RB James Starks, as this unit ranks No. 20 in the game.
The Final Word: We can see how the Vikings can make this a lot more interesting than you might think. If Ponder can keep his head on straight and make just a few plays down the field, we tend to think that they can at least keep this game close. Peterson will get his yards, and he’ll find the end zone again in this one. Expect to see this end with a single digit victory for the hosts.
