Game Line: New Orleans Saints -3 (from JustBet)
Sunday NFL Football Analysis: The San Francisco 49ers are going to try avenging an awful 10-9 loss to Carolina at home last week when they take the field at the Superdome for the first time since their Super Bowl loss to Baltimore last year. It won’t be easy against a New Orleans teams that has outscored teams by a combined 176-75 margin at home. After losing 26-20 at the Jets, the Saints bounced back against the Cowboys at home last week with 625 yards of offense and an NFL record 40 first downs. Drew Brees had 400 yards and four touchdowns and no interceptions. If their offense is clicking like that again this week it will be tough for a San Francisco offense that has a much harder time putting points on the board. They’re going to need to continue to hold teams to field goals and keep their offense on the field if they’re going to win. Another bright spot for the Saints last week was running back Mark Ingram, who had largely been a bust since coming into the league. He had 145 yards on 14 carries for an offense that only averaged 80 yards on the ground as a unit. The 49ers are fourth in the league in team defense and they’ve been extra dominant lately giving up 12 points per game over their last six. They have a great chance to get themselves back into the NFC West picture if they can keep Drew Brees in check. Offensively, the possible return of Michael Crabtree should help an offense that has been underperforming for most of the season. If TE Vernon Davis can play as well there’s a good chance we see more pass attempts from QB Colin Kaepernick who only had 91 passing yards against the Panthers. There’s too much action going New Orleans way in this game, the spread will be 3.5 or 4 by the time the game starts and that’s not giving the 49ers enough respect here.

San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints Game Prediction: 29-26 San Francisco
What to expect in this NFL Football match up: When the 49ers are playing big games their offense usually steps up, while their defense plays down. With the return of Crabtree that is even more likely in this game. Both defenses will hold the opposing offense to field goals but both will move the ball effectively for much of the game. With over 80% of bets coming in on New Orleans, we will take the team that won on their way to the Super Bowl last year to pull an upset.
