Game Line: Carolina Panthers -3 (from JustBet)
Monday Night NFL Football Analysis: Last week, Tom Brady and the New England offense scored the most points by any team in the NFL this season. Now the Patriots go on the road to face a Carolina team that has won five straight and is allowing the fewest points in the NFC. It hasn’t been an easy season for Brady, who has his lowest passer rating of his career and has been frustrated by inexperience at the receiver position. They put those problems aside and scored 55 against Pittsburgh two weeks ago but Carolina’s only allowing 13 points per game and less than 200 passing so things will get much tougher after New England’s bye. They also lead the league in interceptions and tipped passes, so if Brady’s receivers aren’t catching the ball there’s a good chance he will be held in check for most of the game. They will rely on a much improved defense of their own to keep them in this game. New England has forced 29 sacks of their own this season and if they can keep Cam Newton in the pocket and force him to throw the ball by stopping the run on first and second downs they should win this game. The triumphant return of TE Rob Gronkowski has made things much easier for Tom Brady and has taken much of the stress off the young receiving core. They have looked much better in recent weeks and it’s hard not to like Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick after a bye week. Carolina’s defense might contain New England for some of the game but it is highly unlikely they will stop them for four quarters. If the Patriots can get a few early scores and force Carolina to pass the ball in the second half this will be an easy win for New England.

New England Patriots at Carolina Panthers Game Prediction: 28-23 New England Patriots
What to expect in this NFL Football match up: Having an extra week to get ready, New England will have a few good early drives that end in scores which will get Carolina out of its run first mentality and force Cam Newton to move the pocket and throw the football. He will have a turnover or two and give New England short fields to work with and they will convert on a few big plays. Tom Brady is 13-4 on Monday Night Football and coming off a bye week he will be even more sharp and win this one on the road.
